KPMG is currently seeking a Data Analyst to join our Digital Solutions team.

Responsibilities

  • Work in cross-disciplinary teams with KPMG industry specialists, data scientists, and software engineers, to gauge client needs for consuming analytics;
  • Analyse client information in order to produce accurate reports, taking ownership of investigating and analysing any questions or concerns raised from stakeholders with regards to data quality, reliability, and efficiency;
  • Utilize analytics to explore data, identify key trends and create descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive insights;
  • Contribute to the development of strategies, roadmaps and business cases for Analytics solutions;
  • Support the full lifecycle of analytics projects: from gathering requirements, to architecting solutions, to supporting technical implementations, to monitoring and delivery;
  • Make judgements, clarifications and decisions with relevant stakeholders in building solutions;
  • Document 'as is' and 'to be' data pipelines, performing gap analyses to make recommendations;
  • Design data pipelines and document them in requirements catalogues.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Qualified in Accountancy, Insurance, Banking, or similar regulated discipline, with the motivation to build a career as a data analyst;
  • High preference is given for candidates with in-depth sector experience in Financial Reporting, Insurance, Banking, Capital Markets, or other regulated environment, with knowledge of key business drivers and key regulations in the industry (e.g. IFRS, ISRS, BCBS 239, GDPR, AML, MiFID II, Solvency II);
  • Proven ability to pick up new programming languages and technologies quickly;
  • Experience with one or more of the following: data visualisation software (such as PowerBI, Tableau or Qlikview); SQL Database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL); statistical programming (RStudio, Python, Alteryx);
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken;
  • Experience working in a multicultural service/consulting organization is highly preferred.
